Everyone should have access to a beautiful, bespoke fitted wardrobe, and with our easy-to-use made-to-measure flatpack kits, that is something we can offer you.
The key to this is our sophisticated wardrobe designer, which gives you the ability to shape the wardrobe to your bedroom’s dimensions as well as to your particular needs.
In a sense, we are helping you to craft a digital twin of your bedroom, and using that to design
the perfect wardrobe.
The tool is easy to use, but with this step-by-step guide, we can make it even easier for you.
Step One – Measure Your Room
The first step is to use a tape measure to provide the length, width and height of the room you want your wardrobe to be fitted into. Take pictures of your room as well, as they will be needed at checkout to ensure that the made-to-measure wardrobe is perfect for you.
We use millimetres as our measurement as it is the most precise and accurate unit of length available on most tape measures. There are ten millimetres in a centimetre and roughly 25 millimetres (25.4mm to be precise) in an inch.
Once you have these measurements, enter them into the design tool and the virtual bedroom will be shaped to fit your room in response to the numbers you enter.
Make sure to measure the full length and width of the room; the tool will let you add alcoves, plinths, and other elements that might change the shape of the room. Measure those in advance but you will get to add them into the next step.
Make sure these measurements are correct; whilst you can amend them later, it will also affect the measurements and shape of the wardrobes you have already designed.
Step Two – Design Your New Wardrobes
Once you have the room in place, it is time to design your new wardrobe, which is undertaken on a cabinet-by-cabinet basis. If you have an alcove, plinth or other obstacle in the way, click on the space where it is located and click the second option under “Room Features”.
After the room is correctly shaped, it is time to design your dream wardrobe. This consists of two stages; first, you will determine the size, shape and type of cabinet you want, before deciding on what type of racks, shelves, drawers or a combination of the three you want.
Whenever you make a selection, it will appear in the virtual room in the location you place, you can move it to the left or right as you please, and you can have as many or as few as will fit in the space.
Step Three – Styling And Finishing Touches
The next step is to decide on the cabinet doors and internal colours, the door style and the handles you want.
You only need to decide once; any choice you made will be applied to every wardrobe cabinet, and the final kit will contain the correct screw holes and handles you have requested.
Step Four – Review And Checkout
Once you have selected the wardrobe size, shape, style and design you like, click review, check out if you are happy with how it looks both internally and externally, then click “Order Now”.
Click calculate shipping to check when your made-to-measure wardrobes will arrive, and if you are happy with everything, click “Proceed to Checkout” and enter your shipping and billing details.
